    Cement Squeeze Jobs refer to operations that close gaps and leak paths in borehole tubing, and shut off separate reservoirs and watered intervals. As a result, the water inflow in oil & gas deposits is controlled (shut off).

  • Casing leak repair

    Casing leak repair

    Casing leak repair implies isolation of gas (water) cross-flows from annular space into the casing-tubing annulus by means of chemical agents pumped both into the casing-tubing annulus, and inside the casing string. The crossflow may result from the flaws in the string, non-tight threaded connections, or loss of containment due to production, casing running or poor previous cementing jobs.

  • Remedial actions following

    Remedial actions following

    • failures involving tubulars; tubing breaks in the pipe body or in the connections; pipe sticking due to bottomhole sediments (asphalt, resin and paraffin deposits, formation sand), cement grout, or restrictions; differential pressure sticking; 
    • failures involving wirelines, cables and slickline;
    • failures involving downhole jewelry;
    • failures involving restrictions.

    Well suspension and re-entry

    Well suspension and re-entry refers to temporary wellhead sealing with the aim of saving the borehole during or following the drilling operation. In the course of a drilling operation, a well can be suspended for a period of several months in case of complicating geological factors. In case of well pad drilling, a well is suspended until all the wells in the cluster are constructed. Otherwise, wells can be suspended for longer periods of time following the field development.

    Well abandonment

    Well abandonment is performed on the wells that have reached their economic limit and have thus become a liability. There could be a number of reasons leading to well abandonment:

    • a failure or emergency situation which no actions can remedy for technical reasons, 
    • zero oil saturation in the tapped zones with no feasibility of subdrilling, restoration or use as a waste-water well. 
    • edge-water encroachment with low recovery potential.
    • well location in prospective residential areas, in the proximity to water reservoirs or landslide zones.

UPA 60/80

UPA 60/80 Mobile Drilling Rig is used for oil & gas well completion, servicing and workover, as well as in drilling operations at various wells, i.e. prospecting, water, water supply and production (oil and gas) wells in regions featuring mild and cold weather conditions with ambient air temperature ranging from -45 C to +45 C (-49 F to 113 F).
